Are you a talented fundraiser? Would you like the opportunity to join our dynamic Development Team supporting the work of one of the most iconic buildings in the world, St Paul’s Cathedral?
We are currently seeking to appoint a Trusts and Foundation Officer, a new role within our Development Department, to help deliver an ambitious and aspirational programme for the future. Over the past two years, the Development Team have achieved significant success, including increasing voluntary income by over 300% and realising the Remember Me project – an online book of remembrance and raising over £2.7m for a physical memorial in the Cathedral for those who have died as result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Moving forward, they have substantial plans to build on their fundraising achievements.
As Trusts and Foundation Officer, you will develop and deliver a successful Medium & Small Trust Programme, and with skills and drive, there’s huge potential to make your mark. Specifically, the purpose of the role during the one year contract is to secure a target of £200,000 in grants and pledges, by:
- engaging and connecting with new and existing prospects
- building and writing persuasive and compelling project proposals •
submitting creative and targeted approaches of £10,000 to £50,000 for priority Cathedral projects
- assisting in creating prospect pipelines to achieve fundraising targets.
To be successful you will have:
- confident writing, presentation and interpersonal skills
- a track-record of excellent relationship management with funders
- previous success in applying for and securing grants
- a proactive, can do, creative approach
Should you be successful, you will join St Paul’s Cathedral at a very special time as it looks towards hosting The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving in 2022, with a host of linked celebratory and fundraising events planned, and celebrating the 300th Anniversary of Wren in 2023.
