The Reverend Robert Kozak appointed as Sacrist and Head of Liturgy
Robert is currently the Cathedral's Succentor, a position he had held since 2022. He will take on his new roles later this month, following the departure of the Reverend Robert Coupland, who has been appointed as Chaplain to the Bishop of London.
Before joining St Paul's, Robert was Priest in Charge of the Parish of Letchworth. Brought up in Poland, before moving to the UK, Robert worked as an organist in churches in Cracow while studying theology and music.
Robert trained for ministry at Westcott House, Cambridge, and was ordained in 2015. He then went on to serve as Assistant Curate in the Parish of All Saints, Leavesden. In 2018 Robert completed an MA in systematic theology at King's College London.

As Head of Liturgy, Robert will play a key role in shaping and overseeing our worship and liturgical life. Working closely with the Precentor and a dedicated team, he will ensure services run smoothly and to a high standard. This role, which comes with a Minor Canonry (Sacrist) involves planning and managing liturgy, leading the Liturgical office, and supporting our wider mission.
Robert says:
'I am deeply grateful for this new calling and the opportunity to continue serving God at St Paul’s as Sacrist and Head of Liturgy. It is both a privilege and a humbling responsibility to lead our Liturgical team, ensuring that worship remains at the heart of Cathedral life. I look forward to working alongside my colleagues, including fellow Heads of Department, as we uphold the rich tradition of worship in this iconic and sacred place.'
