Crypt Café reopens to the public following full refurbishment

Visitors to St Paul’s now have the opportunity to enjoy a taste of history, as the Crypt Café reopens to the public for the first time since the pandemic.

Fancy having a spot of lunch in the largest crypt in Europe? Nestled amongst centuries of history, the newly reopened Crypt Café will provide a welcome from the hustle and bustle of the City, and is accessible to both Cathedral visitors and the general public alike (accessed via the North Crypt door).

Ahead of the opening, the Café has undergone extensive renovation to provide a space to relax and refresh after a day of sightseeing. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of hot and cold drinks, as well as sandwiches and salads, hot food prepared in our new kitchen, and a selection of freshly baked sweet and savoury treats.

The opening of the new Café has been made possible through our partnership with Benugo. Founded in 1998 with the goal of creating fresh, natural food, Benugo boast cafés and restaurants within some of the UK’s biggest visitor attractions, including the Natural History Museum, the V&A, The British Museum, BFI Southbank and other sites across the rest of the UK.

The Café is open during normal sightseeing hours. Find out more about our opening times here.
