Information for pre-booked school visits
Guided Visits
Please bring a copy of your confirmation email with you on the day of your visit and enter via the North West Crypt entrance. Your guides will be waiting to meet you in the Crypt.
Please be aware that bag searches are in operation at all Cathedral entrances but in the case of primary school children bags are the responsibility of teachers and you may be asked to confirm that they have been checked.
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate afternoon guided school groups with a lunch space at the Cathedral but the Cathedral gardens are always available or lunch spaces can be booked at the nearby YHA St Paul’s. Please note that unless prebooked you cannot use the Crypt for lunch as this space is a fire exit.
A copy of our risk assessment advice is available here, and we ask that you get in touch with us in advance to book in a risk assessment visit.
Please also be aware that classes may be split into smaller groups depending on guides available on the day. Please do let us know in advance if this would pose a problem for your class or if there are any specific needs which we should be aware of.
Self-Guided Visits
