Alexandra explains why she joined the Friends of St Paul's.

I decided to join the Friends of St Paul's Cathedral in November 2021. I had been a frequent visitor during lockdown and became aware of the Friends when looking at their website. 

I have received a very warm welcome since becoming a Friend and am always kept up to date with events and Cathedral services. The staff at the Friends are so very friendly and welcoming and always quick to answer any queries. 

I believe the history and tradition of St Paul's is very important as humanity has gathered in the same place, for the same purpose for over 1400 years. To support the ongoing tradition of the Cathedral and to take a more active role in my free time was very important to me.

When I joined as a Friend, COVID-19 restrictions still prevented many of the social events from taking place and I have not yet attended any. They start again soon and I am greatly looking forward to enjoying all it has to offer without any of the restrictions in place.
