A special Evensong to Commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the end of the Second World War (VE 80)

This very special service will include readings, music, and bespoke prayers, celebrating the resilience and fortitude of the people of London—both in 1945 and today. It will also feature an act of commemoration for the Fallen and a time of reflection on present-day conflicts.  As part of ther service there will specially-selected choral works.

Following the service there will a short lamplighting ceremony and blessing on on the West Steps and the Cathedral bells will be part of the national bell ringing at 18.30.
